Updates Emails Details Step 1

At step 1 of the product updates email creation, you generate the HTML and text content of the email by selecting the product updates date range and a layout and then set the title that appears at the email header and the sender’s name and email address.

The product updates date range form:

At the product updates date range form you select the product updates date range and a layout for the content of the email. Only product that were added or updated in the selected date range will be included in the content of the email.

If you previously created the content of your product updates email, you can skip this form. You only need to select a date range and layout and generate the product updates email content, if it wasn’t generated yet or if you want to change the date range and general layout.

Please note: Typically you can define two versions of your main content for the newsletter email: A text version, and a HTML version. The version used when sending the email to your subscribers depends on the settings of your subscribers. When signing up for a product updates email, subscribers can choose, if they want to receive a text only version of the products updates email or a HTML version.

The email setting section:

The email setting section is used to define the subject of your product updates email and the sender’s name and email address.

Although you can define any email address as sender email, we strongly advise to use a valid sender email for your product updates email.

The content for HTML email section:

Use the content for HTML email section to enter and edit the main content of the html version of your product updates email.

The content for text email section:

Use the content for text email section to enter and edit the main content of the text version of your product updates email.

The email content is generated by selecting a date range and style for the product updates email and clicking on the “Generate Email” button. Clicking on that button again, will overwrite any manual changes to your product updates email content for text and HTML.

  1. Click on the “Save and Preview Email” button to save your draft and proceed to the second step of your product updates email creation.
  2. Click on the “Cancel” button to cancel the product updates email creation/editing process without saving the product updates draft.
