b) Special Vendor Positions

Special vendor positions, are layout positions that are available for vendor modules.Depending on your skin and setup, certain positions can be made available for vendor customization and will allow vendors to place a selection of modules or custom modules at those positions. These modules will only appear, when a customer visits a vendor specific page at the storefront.

Please note: Vendor positions will only be used for vendor modules, when a user visits a vendor page at the storefront, especially the vendor home page or the vendor’s product pages. All other pages and positions not set for vendors are not affected and always display mall modules.

The vendor layout handling section:

The setting for the vendor mode positions handling in the vendor layout handling section determines the general handling of vendor modules and positions.

The following options are available for vendor module handling:

Option Description
Disabled Special vendor positions are not available and are not used for module handling.
Vendor modules will not be displayed at all when a customer is at a vendor specific page.
Exclusive The selected positions are only used for vendor modules at vendor pages.
Mall modules set at those positions won’t be displayed, when a customer is at a vendor specific page.
However mall modules set at those positions will appear at those positions, when a customer visits a non vendor specific mall page
Adaptive The specified vendor positions will display vendor and mall modules at vendor pages
Mall modules at the same position will be prioritized and displayed first.
