The general settings tab is split into several sub-sections: shipping calculation, shipping label and shipping origin settings.
The general settings – enable/disable shipping calculations section:

The following fields are available for your shipping calculation:

| Enable Shipping | If “No” is selected shipping charges are completely disabled; however, a separate handling fee can still be added. |
| Display shipping prices | Select, if shipping prices will will appear on the shipping methods page or not. |
| Allow International Shipping | Select, if shipping is only available for the country you set up in your “Shipping Origin Settings”. Setting this to “No” will completely prevent shipping to other countries than your shipping origin country. |
| Allow orders to be completed if no shipping methods are available | Select, if orders can be completed at the storefront, even if no shipping method is available. |
| Is Shipping Taxable | Select, if shipping is taxable or not. |
| Shipping Tax Class | Select a shipping tax from a dropdown list with all available tax classes. The tax class only applies, if shipping is set to taxable. |
These settings are primarily used to setup if and how shipping prices are calculated during checkout.
The shipping label section:

The following fields are available at the shipping label section:

The shipping origin section:

The following fields are available for the shipping origin settings:

| ZIP/Postal Code | Your zip or postal code . |
| Origin Country | Your shipping origin country. |
The shipping origin settings are used to define from where the orders to your customer’s are send. These settings are used primarily by realtime payment methods, but are also crucial for some other settings, e.g. when you restrict shipping to the origin country.
