Reward Point Settings

At the reward points settings page you can manage and set the general settings for your reward points program as well as when a customer gets notified about his reward point balance, etc.

The point system settings section:

At the point system settings section you can setup the general settings of your reward points system.

The following fields are available:

Field Description
Enable point system Enable or disable the reward points system
Points will expire after Set how many days the reward points are valid.

It is recommended to set medium range to entice customers to buy and collect points more frequently. Ideally customers will try to achieve the redeemable point amount (see below) before their reward points expire, therefore buying from your shop more frequently.

Please note: All unused reward points will expire and be removed from the customer’s point balance after their expiration date is met.
Every point is equivalent to The value of each reward point in the shop’s default currency
Minimum redeemable point amount The minimum point amount needed to use the points to pay for orders.

It is recommended to use a medium point amount minimum to prevent customers from using small point amounts during each checkout.

Please note:
If the minimum redeemable point amount is too small, customers won’t be enticed to buy more often to collect more reward points, since they will be able to use their rewarded points almost every time they buy something from the shop
Reward points for every new registration How many reward points the customer gets, when he signs up for an account at the shop

The point notification settings section:

At the point notification settings section you can setup when customers get notified about their reward points balance or certain reward point changes.

The following fields are available:

Field Description
Send points summary email Select, whether a summary email with the user’s current reward points is send or not
Send points summary email every Set, how often a points summary email is sent to customers (in days)
Last reward points summary email This field is for your information only to check when the last reward points email was sent
Send email on manually changed points Send an email when the administrator adds or removes points manually from a customer’s reward point balance
Show next expiring points in notifications If selected, reward points notification emails will include a line about when and how many points will expire next

Click on the “Save Changes” button to save your changes to the reward points system.

Order reward points are rewarded as soon as the order is paid.

Please note: When an order is canceled, a new cancel transaction will be created that reverts any reward points transactions regarding the canceled order.
