Connect Groups

Connect Groups are customer membership groups and are used to sell subscriptions to customers for individual customer shops.

The customers’ shops are managed and setup through the IXXO Connect Center software, but run by the customers themselves. This allows customers to import products from the partner’s mall and up-sell and promote them in their own shops.

Please note: Connect Groups for Connect Subscriptions are only available for IXXO Connect Partner Program members and require the installation of the IXXO Connect Center software on a dedicated server.

The connect groups form:

To use connect groups, you need to enable them and create at least one connect group in the connect groups form.

The following fields are available:

Field Descriptions
# Internal ID of the connect group.
Name Name of the connect group.
Description Short description for your connect group
Member’s Fee The fee for purchasable connect groups
Duration Duration the discount is valid in days, after the initial purchase or activation of the membership

Use the “add new group” form to add a new connect group to your groups.

Click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the form to add a new connect group to your connect group list.

Additional functions are available through the action icons on the right side of each item in the list.

The connect user group list action icons:

Icon Description
The set/unset icon – click on this icon to set/unset the availability of special connect group products for purchase
The edit icon – click on this icon to edit a special connect group product.
The delete icon – click on this icon to completely remove a connectgroup and any special connect group products.

By default connect groups are not purchasable through the storefront. To enable your customers to purchase memberships for connect groups, click on the set/unset icon on the right side of each item on the list.

The set/unset button is color coded:

  • A green icon indicates, that a special product was created for that connect group that customers can purchase through the storefront. Clicking on this icon will disable the connect group for purchases through the storefront
  • A red icon indicates, that the connect group was disabled for purchase or wasn't created yet. Clicking on this icon will create a special connect group product and enable the special product for purchases through customers.

To edit the special connect group product, click on the edit icon.

The edit icon is color coded:

  • A orange icon indicates that a special product for this connect group was created and is editable. Click on the icon to edit the special connect group product at the product page.
  • A red icon indicates, that a special connect group product wasn't created yet.

Connect group products are special products, that assign a connect group to a user upon purchase. Once created through the “set” icon, these special products are editable like normal products and you can add images, etc. to them.

Please note: A connect group fee is charged, when a customer signs up for a paid connect membership plan (purchases and pays the special connect group product at the storefront) and each time the customer renews the plan or changes to another paid plan.

To delete a connect group, click on the delete icon on the right side of each item on the list.

The form also allows you to bulk change your groups. You can edit all details in the list and click on the “Save” button at the bottom to update your connect group details.
