Custom Field Details
You can create new custom form fields or edit your existing custom form fields at the custom field details page. After these fields are saved (and if they are set to active) they appear at the assigned forms alongside the default form field.
The custom field properties form:
The following field are available:

| Priority | The sorting priority for the field. |
Depending on the selected field type, additional options can available:
Additional textfield options:

| Maximum text length | This field allows you to set the maximum text field length. |
Additional checkbox options:

| Checked Value | The value of the checkbox, when the checkbox is selected. |
| Unchecked Value | The value of the checkbox, when the checkbox is deselected. |
Additional dropdown/radio button options:

| Options (one per line) | Enter one option per line for radio buttons or dropdown lists. |
You can add several options by adding them, one value per line, at the options list. Each line in the option list is selectable by itself at the storefront and functions as a sub-option.
Please note: The first option in a radio button list or drop-down list is always preselected in a form. If you want to make this field type optional, you can set the first item to be blank or to not have an actual option.
e.g.: if you have a dropdown list or radio button list with the name “Extras” and the following options in the options list:
- none
- red
- blue
- green
The first option “none” will be preselected, therefore making the “Extras” field optional.
e.g.: if you have a dropdown list or radio button list with the name “Extras” and the following options in the options list:
- red
- blue
- green
The first option “red” will be preselected, therefore making the “Extras” field mandatory.
Please note: Drop-down and radio button lists are optional or mandatory depending on the first item in the options list.
- Click on the “Save Changes” button to save the custom field.
After saving a field, it is available at the selected form at the storefront, if it was set to active.
Click on the “Forms & Form Fields” button to return to the forms & form fields page.
Click on the “Create a New Custom Field” button to create a new custom field. This button is available when a field is edited and after saving a new field.
