Booking Products are a special class of products that have additional capabilities and are designed to work for ticket sales, personal services and similar products or services.
A booking product is created at the product details page by defining a product with a “Booking” class.
Booking products have special properties that allow you to setup an extensive schedule when those products are available.
Booking products are setup to be available during certain time slots. You can define booking products to are only available for certain time slots during a day or week or month or during a certain period. You can also setup, the duration of a time slot and how many units are available in a time slot.
The extensive properties available for booking products allow a wide range of bookable products or services, e.g.:
1) You are selling a car wash service. You have two employees who are available to perform this service, a carwash typically takes 30 minutes. The carwash service is available the whole week, except Sundays. The carwash is only available from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm. The service is available the whole year, except during November and December. The service is only available at the vendor’s place.
2) You are selling concert tickets for a rock band, the band is playing on two dates. The venue has space for 100 visitors. The tickets are sent by mail.
3) You are selling a nail polishing service. You have 5 employees who are available to perform this service, a session typically takes 1 hour. The service is only available at the customer’s place. The service is only available from 11:00 am till 8:00 pm. The service will only be available from August 5th, 2019 to September 21st, 2019.
